Hyderabad's Nampally railway station witnessed an unfortunate incident on Wednesday as the Chennai-Hyderabad Charminar Express derailed, resulting in injuries to at least five passengers. Quick action by railway personnel involved in swiftly transporting the injured individuals out of the station for immediate medical attention.
The mishap occurred as the train, heading towards platform number five, overshot its designated path and collided with the side wall, leading to the derailment of three bogies.
Fortunately, eyewitnesses reported that the train's slow speed played a crucial role in averting a potentially catastrophic event. In response to the incident, Disaster Response Force (DRF) teams were promptly dispatched to the scene.
The Charminar Express, which concludes its journey at Nampally, experienced this unexpected derailment. Telangana's Transport Minister, Ponnam Prabhakar, directed officials to ensure the injured passengers receive the best possible medical care, underscoring the importance of a swift and effective response.
