CM Revanth Reddy to Convene Meeting with Collectors and SPs on December 24th

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy is set to convene a crucial meeting with District Collectors and SPs at the Dr BR Ambedkar Secretariat on Sunday (24-12-2023). During this session, he will provide directives on the implementation of the six guarantees promised by his government and the 'rule by the people' programs aimed at decentralizing governance to the village level. The emphasis will be on rectifying the errors of the previous administration within the first 100 days of his term.

Demonstrating a commitment to addressing public concerns, the Revanth Reddy-led government has already initiated a public radio program every Tuesday and Friday at the Mahatma Jyotiba Pol Praja Bhavan in Hyderabad. The upcoming Collectorate meeting will see the Chief Minister unveiling an action plan for more effective execution at the district, division, mandal, and village levels.

Clear instructions will be provided to collectors regarding the implementation of the six guarantees, which aim to ensure social justice through economic empowerment. This public governance program aims to enhance government efficiency and accountability, particularly at the village level, ensuring that the benefits reach the poor and marginalized sections of society.

The meeting, scheduled from 10 am to 1 pm on Sunday, will also be attended by Deputy Chief Minister Milo Bhatti Vikramakka, along with ministers, secretaries of various departments, and relevant officials. Additionally, a series of Public Governance Gram Sabhas will be conducted from December 28 to January 6, 2024, spanning eight working days, excluding holidays. These sessions, held from 8 AM to 12 PM and 2 PM to 6 PM, will involve teams of officials visiting gram panchayats and municipal wards for two hours daily.

To ensure comprehensive participation, local Sarpanchs, Corporators, and Councilors will be invited to the public administration program. Each application received during these Gram Sabhas will be computerized with a unique number, allowing for individual scrutiny. The overarching goal is to create a governance mechanism that is transparent, accountable, and inclusive, prioritizing the needs of the public.
