First COVID-19 Case Recorded at Nilofar Hospital in Hyderabad


A 15-month-old toddler from Agpora area in Nampally tested positive for Covid-19 at Nilofar Hospital, marking the first case at the facility. The child, admitted with a high fever and breathing difficulties, was promptly tested by vigilant doctors, confirming the infection.

Currently undergoing treatment in the isolation ward, the young patient has shown improvement, having been removed from the ventilator.

Amid a nationwide resurgence of COVID-19, the last 24 hours saw 328 new cases, bringing the total active cases to 2,997.

Tamil Nadu reported 15 cases in a single day, and a recent fatality was recorded in Kerala. In Telangana, there are currently 19 active cases. Earlier this week, on Tuesday, the health department reported four new cases of Covid, revealing that nine individuals are presently undergoing treatment. A total of 402 tests were conducted on the same day.

New guidelines have been released, highlighting the susceptibility of individuals aged 20-60 to the variant. The advisory suggests that children under 10, pregnant mothers, and individuals above 60 should restrict outdoor activities.

Furthermore, everyone venturing outside is strongly urged to wear face masks, underscoring the importance of adhering to preventive measures. Stay vigilant and prioritize your health.
