Motivated by her experiences as a doctor witnessing challenges in government hospitals, Dr. Parkash aspires to become an elected legislator. Her father, Oam Parkash, a recently retired doctor and a dedicated member of the PPP for 35 years, has been a source of inspiration for her commitment to serving the area's underprivileged population.

Social media influencer Imran Noshad Khan, endorsing Dr. Parkash's candidacy, highlighted the historic moment as she emerges as the first female candidate from Buner. He expressed wholehearted support, emphasizing the importance of breaking stereotypes. The Election Commission of Pakistan has mandated a minimum of 5 per cent representation of women candidates on general seats, making Dr. Parkash's candidacy a significant step towards gender inclusion in the region's electoral politics.
