Telugu Desam Party (TDP) chief N Chandrababu Naidu asserted the critical need for the TDP-JSP alliance to counter the YSRCP and secure the future of Andhra Pradesh. Speaking at a massive public meeting commemorating the successful completion of TDP national general secretary Nara Lokesh’s padayatra in Polipalli village, Naidu emphasized that the alliance is not for personal gain but for the welfare of the state's five crore people.
Naidu criticized the current governance under YSRC, highlighting the transformation of Visakhapatnam from a financial capital to what he termed as the "ganja capital" under the YSRCP regime. He lamented the alleged deterioration in various sectors, including education, health, and infrastructure, accusing the Jagan Mohan Reddy regime of leaving Andhra Pradesh without a designated capital city.
Asserting a sense of fear within the YSRCP, Naidu claimed that Jagan Reddy is resorting to the transfer and removal of MLAs for self-preservation. He went on to criticize Jagan Reddy's suitability for politics, stating that he is not worthy of the political position he holds.
Naidu advised the public to diligently check their voter registration, alleging that votes are being removed from the voter list by the YSRCP. As part of the TDP's electoral promises, Naidu announced several schemes, including the Mahashakti Scheme, which provides Rs. 1,500 per month through Aadabidda Nidhi to women who have completed 18 years. Other initiatives include Thalliki Vandhanam, offering Rs. 15,000 per year to women, and the Deepam scheme, providing three free gas cylinders annually, along with free bus travel for women.
Additionally, Naidu pledged to generate 20 lakh jobs in five years through government, private, and self-employment. The TDP leader also promised a monthly stipend of Rs. 3,000 to unemployed youth under the Yuvagalam Nidhi scheme if the TDP is voted back to power.
