Mitchell Starc Breaks IPL Record, Joins KKR for Rs 24.75 Cr


In a historic turn of events at the IPL 2024 mini-auction, Australian pacer Mitchell Starc made headlines by becoming the most expensive player in the league's history. Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) secured Starc for a staggering Rs 24.75 crore in the third round, marking his return to IPL after an eight-year hiatus. Meanwhile, Royal Challengers Bangalore (CSK) added West Indian speedster Alzarri Joseph to their lineup, securing him for Rs 11.5 crore. The young and fiery fast bowler, known for his blistering pace and stump-rattling abilities, became the focal point of a fierce bidding war that kept fans on the edge of their seats. CSK, quick to express their interest, successfully acquired Joseph, adding an exciting talent to their squad.
